The short version. We use what you give us to answer you, deliver what you bought and send what you asked for. We never sell it, rent it or trade it. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and it works.
01Who we are
Laughlin Business Advisors is a business line of The Laughlin Method LLC, a Virginia limited liability company at 950 North Washington Street, 3rd Floor, Alexandria, Virginia 22314. When this page says "we" or "us," it means The Laughlin Method LLC and its founders, Craig Laughlin Jr and Jessica Laughlin.
This policy covers our websites, forms, calendars, free tools, communities and paid programs.
02What we collect
- What you type into a form. Your name, email, phone number, business name and anything you write in an application, intake or message.
- What you tell us about your business. Revenue, margins, costs, goals and similar figures, when you share them in a tool, an application, an intake form or on a call.
- Payment details. Handled by our payment processors. We see that a payment was made and its amount. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data. Pages visited, the device and browser used, and roughly where the visit came from, collected through cookies and similar tools.
- Calls and sessions. Some group trainings are recorded and shared with members of that room. We tell you before anything is recorded, and 1:1 calls are not recorded unless you ask us to.
03Why we use it
- To answer your questions and book the calls you ask for.
- To deliver what you bought: access to a room, your roadmap, your sessions, your software.
- To send what you asked for, like the free books or a Simulator result.
- To send occasional emails and texts about our work, which you can stop at any time.
- To bill you correctly and keep the records the law requires.
- To see which pages help people and which do not, so we can fix them.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not share it with anybody outside this firm except the service providers below, and only so they can do their job for us.
04Who processes it for us
We run the business on a small number of platforms. Each one handles your information on our behalf, under its own privacy policy:
- HighLevel. Our customer records, forms, calendars, email, text messages and some billing.
- Skool. Our online communities. When you join a room on Skool, Skool also handles that membership's billing, and your profile there follows Skool's own policy.
- Stripe and PayPal. Card and payment processing.
- Our diagnostics platform (our technology partner). Runs some of our free tools and the Exit Readiness Score.
- Zoom. Video calls and online trainings.
- Google Workspace. Our email and documents.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
05Your numbers
Figures you enter into a free diagnostic are used to produce your result on the page. We store them only if you ask us to email the result to you, but when a tool runs on our diagnostics platform, the figures you enter may be stored by that platform. Financial information you share as a client is used to do the work you hired us for, read by Craig and Jessica, and kept confidential.
If you are preparing to sell, we never contact your team, your customers or a buyer about it without your written permission.
06Email and text
Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe. We text only people who give us their number and agree to be contacted, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text message and the texts stop, and reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party. Emails about something you bought, like a receipt or a session reminder, may still arrive while you are a client.
07Cookies
Our pages use cookies to keep forms working, remember choices and count visits. Some come from the platforms above, and some from advertising tools such as Meta, which help us see whether an ad led to a visit. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, though some forms may not.
08How long we keep it
We keep client records for as long as you are a client, and afterward for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Contact details for our email list stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
09Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it or delete it. Write to [email protected] and a person answers within one business day. We may keep what the law requires us to keep, such as billing records.
Our services are for adults running or planning a business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10Changes and contact
